Heathcote Film Festival Returns!

On the 30th August, 2014,  Heathcote  celebrates the fourth Heathcote Film Festival.

This year’s program includes a range of different sessions.

Friday 29th August

Thanks to the support of the Heathcote and District Community Bank® Branch, Community Enterprise Fund there will be a special schools screening of the celebrated documentary “THE EARTH WINS”.

Produced by Heathcote based filmmakers, Sara Hine and Jerry Grayson, The Earth Wins shows haunting images of the planet shot entirely from the air, with music from various bands, including Coldplay and Melbourne’s The Temper Trap.

The Earth Wins addresses sustainability, conservation, climate science, philosophy, disaster management, critical thinking and ethics so will appeal to students studying these areas as well as those studying English, Music, Geography, Biology, Environmental Science, Media and Art.

Extensive curriculum support material for the film has been developed for mid to late primary through to senior school and is supplied free of charge to teachers and schools.

Saturday 30th August

Matinee Session – 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Meet the Filmmaker: Q & A – 4.30pm – 5.30pm

Evening Session – 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Supper – 8.30pm

Refreshments and Bar available at both sessions
